About us
Founded in 2000 by Robert Cooper, Willis Cooper began its journey in a small office at Belper Mill. Since then the practice has grown significantly, relocating in 2009 to the Heritage Business Centre on Derby Road. Today the firm advises over 600 businesses across a variety of industries, all from that same Belper location. Robert remains at the helm, keeping the firm family run, approachable, and rooted in local values. Our story is about steady growth, community roots, and a commitment to making finance feel straightforward and personal.

Being based in Belper for over 25 years has shaped the way we work. We understand the local business landscape, the challenges it brings, and the opportunities it offers. We are part of the same community as our clients, and we take pride in supporting local events, causes, and initiatives whenever possible.
